At Stony Rise, nature shapes daily life. The lodge is surrounded by native coastal scrub that has been carefully regenerated since the 1970s, after livestock were removed to allow the landscape to return to its natural state. Today, this land forms part of a protected zone recognised for its Significant Environmental Benefit and is managed under a long-term conservation plan.
Working alongside the Native Vegetation Council, we actively restore the ecosystem by removing invasive species and supporting native flora and wildlife. It's not uncommon to see kangaroos, wombats and coastal birdlife right outside the lodge — a reminder that this land remains wild, thriving and truly connected to the surrounding Little Dip Conservation Park.
